Worldwide Offshore Services Sdn Bhd (WOS) is PETRONAS’ licensed human resource solutions provider recruiting talented candidates to work on their upcoming project based in Sabah and Sarawak. Quantity Surveyor is one of the collective positions required for the PETRONAS project.
About the Role:
Quantity Surveyor will be a part of the Project Management Team (PMT) who manage general verification on the progress of every operation, and document every paperwork related to cost, meetings and contractors.
Job Description:
- Evaluate and validate all Job Completion Tickets (JCT) to be issued to PMT for verification.
- Manage all matters related to the Monthly Progress Claim (MPC); evaluate and validate the MPC before submitting it to PMT for verification; update the MPC Summary for all areas on a monthly basis or when required; update the submission record of MPC to Cost Control for current cost tracking on a regular basis; and maintain effective recording systems to make sure all supporting documents are in place to support MPC submissions (drawings, daily report, RFI, progress photo, etc).
- Review all Work Order Proposals (WOP) submitted by Contractors and conduct meetings with PMT to discuss them.
- Participate in Monthly Progress Meetings (MPM) and other relevant meetings when required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering at a minimum.
- Minimum of five (5) years of working experience, inclusive of at least three (3) years in the project in a civil construction environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to drive the work and the team.
- Strong emotional control and stability under duress and unexpected circumstances.
- Attentive and competent problem-solving skills when working on different types of projects.
- Powerful negotiating skills with clear objectivity when approaching different counter-justifications.
