Worldwide Offshore Services Sdn Bhd (WOS) is PETRONAS’ licensed human resource solutions provider recruiting talented candidates to work on their upcoming project based in Sabah and Sarawak. Project Control Engineer is one of the collective positions required for the PETRONAS project.
About the Role:
Project Control Engineer will be a part of the Project Management Team (PMT) that supports the Project Manager in reviewing the progress and integrity of every operation planning from conception to execution. They are the main channel to connect Human Resources and other PD&T support divisions.
Job Description:
- Spearhead scheduling and management orders; reviewing reports (internal or from Contractors), monthly meetings with Contractors on particulars pertaining to the projects such as planning, progress and challenges; resource management capability, and PMT internal or external meetings and activities.
- Conduct frequent variant analysis and forecasting to maintain a bird's eye view of the operation's impact on different aspects that could affect the integrity of the mission, whether it might foresee a delay or tool complication that requires advice.
- Monitor progress tracking by Area on a weekly or monthly basis; at site progress walk-through, site assessment and analysis; and relay status update to relevant stakeholders accordingly.
- Assist Project Manager with Resource Planning pertaining to accommodation, transportation and other necessary PMT crew arrangements.
- Provide a clear scheduling system and presentation for all stakeholders to understand clearly; this involves configuring P6 Xer File to an Excel format.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering at a minimum.
- Minimum of five (5) years of working experience, inclusive of at least three (3) years in the project in a civil construction environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to drive the work and the team.
- Strong emotional control and stability under duress and unexpected circumstances.
- Attentive and competent problem-solving skills when working on different types of projects.
- Powerful negotiating skills with clear objectivity when approaching different counter-justifications.
