Worldwide Offshore Services Sdn Bhd (WOS) is PETRONAS’ licensed human resource solutions provider recruiting talented candidates to work on their upcoming project based in Sabah and Sarawak. HSE Executive is one of the collective positions required for the PETRONAS project.
About the Role:
HSE Executive will be a part of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Department to oversee the management system and communication between sectors or areas from time to time. They assist HSE Managers in business obligations and execute activities related to external or internal parties and training.
Job Description:
- Support the line management’s responsibility of implementing HSE management system requirements this includes but is not limited to facilitating HSE guidelines and best practices; reports pertaining to performance, audits, inspections, incidents, and accident investigations; client meetings and activities (Project Risk Assessment, Risk Workshop, etc).
- Assist HSE Manager with:
- HSE yearly objectives, KPI, targets and Initiatives with the project team, SBA and PD&T HSE;
- Monthly HSE Report;
- Update project legal register;
- Review and commenting the Subcontractors’ Construction Method Statements, Job Hazards Analysis, ERP, and PTW system before operation begins; and
- Consult the SPM and Contractors on HSE Plan and HSE Implementation Plan to maintain its integrity to compliance.
- Representing the SPM to the client on-site with anything regarding HSE matters as a reviewer, observer or monitoring day-to-day operations to ensure all standards of HSE are met.
- Manage a proper filing system of all HSE documents and records (HSE statistics, KPIs performance status, incident report, HiPO incident, UAUC, investigation report, etc), including the review of Contractors’ documents like the HSE Plan, ERP, PTW Procedures and any construction related documents.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering at a minimum.
- Minimum of five (5) years of working experience, inclusive of at least three (3) years in the project in a civil construction environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to drive the work and the team.
- Strong emotional control and stability under duress and unexpected circumstances.
- Attentive and competent problem-solving skills when working on different types of projects.
- Powerful negotiating skills with clear objectivity when approaching different counter-justifications.
