Worldwide Offshore Services Sdn Bhd (WOS) is PETRONAS’ licensed human resource solutions provider recruiting talented candidates to work on their upcoming project based in Sabah and Sarawak. Cost Control Engineer is one of the collective positions required for the PETRONAS project.
About the Role:
Cost Control Engineer will be a part of the Project Management Team (PMT) that oversees annual spending, is the gatekeeper of cost progress and executes cost forecasting to ensure there are no contradictory figures.
Job Description:
- Consolidator for old and new SSGP Project cost data and an SAP System PIC for SSGP Project.
- Track cost progress by packages awarded to Contractors and cost progress of Value of Work Done (VOWD).
- Run forecasts to capture potential cost increases into the final overall cost. Alert forecasted non-conformance that is against the approved cost to Management.
- Generate monthly cost control reports and update approved cost data against actual invoices from the Contractor regularly.
- Update committed and anticipated cost data.
- Execute Forecast Cost Year End Projection (YEP) and updated Year-To-Date (YTD).
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering at a minimum.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of working experience, inclusive of at least five (5) years in the project, of which three (3) years in a civil construction environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to drive the work and the team.
- Strong emotional control and stability under duress and unexpected circumstances.
- Attentive and competent problem-solving skills when working on different types of projects.
- Powerful negotiating skills with clear objectivity when approaching different counter-justifications.
